Teh GIMP...

The Gimp I run on my Macbook, since I don't have a universal version of GraphicConverter (My G3 has 5.x.something). It gets the job done generallly.

The one thing I really hate about it is that it wants to spam the hell out of my system log with its endless errors. Hell, it gets so bad sometime, that syslogd (I assume handles something to do with the system log) is using an entire core to do its work. In fact, it is usually still doing this a minute or more after I've quit Gimp.

I'm hoping they get the OS X native version out soon. I might just go ahead and register the latest version of GraphicConverter. It is worth it.

Sulu Medicine...

My brother got a hold of some ringworm and tapeworm medicine for my cat, Sulu. This will take care of that problem.

Then, all I have to do is keep the flea problem under control. For that I will get some flea drops at work tonight.

Macbook Problems...

Ha ha ha, there are none. I suppose I shouldn't have let doomsday forum posts scare me. Its natural that you are only going to hear about the problems when you go to a forum. Someone isn't going to come on there just to say that everything is okey dokey.

I remember hearing a lot of bad things about Powerlogix a couple of years back. Their processor upgrades, especially for good 'ole Blue and Whites, use to get 1 out of 10s all the time. Personally, mine is still running overclocked and fine and dandy. Right now, in between other light duties for now, it is running Seti@home most of its time.

Well, ya know, my stuff works right.

A Challenger Appears...

Well, as much as it would help my parents, I have to hope that they don't mind paying my car insurance and phone bills. I was hoping to take over them soon but a few things have arisen that have made me postpone that. I was also hoping to start paying my loan again. It is still in deferment at the moment, a good thing.

For the phone I would probably get some prepaid thing. I don't like getting into a contract. I just want to pay some money, get some minutes, and the phone stops working when I run out. I hope that is the way prepaids work.

I think I did a car insurance quote on Progressive that came out to around $50 a month or something. I would hope that I would be able to get it cheaper than that even. All I need is liability. I'll be looking into that.

Now I have to take my cat by the vet to take care of his tapeworms. Yep, tapeworms. I just assumed them to roundworms. Tapeworms are a bit more serious. So, I'll be rushing him by the vet next week when I get another paycheck.

I'm not too worried folks. Things will be taken care of as they come along. Plus, I have my new Mac. All is right with the world.

Wakka Wakka

I've got a few things up for auction now. I hope to get some type of money back on them. Mind you, I probably won't get too much on the PS2 games I'm selling, but I'm selling a good handful of them. So, collectively, it should a nice tidy sum.

Plus, as is the fate of all Fords at one time or another, my Stang finally has its 'Service Engine Soon' light on now. I've just unhooked and rehooked the battery to hopefully fix what I think is an anomaly. The car still runs 'fine' and I don't hear anything different about the engine. So, I'm thinking it might just be some miscellaneous sensor that is going out or has gone out. I hope so, at least.

I'm going to cut it short for now. My mom has come to spend the night up here now that I have a guest bedroom again.

eBay Sell-off...

I've decided to gather up some things to sell on eBay in order to funnel some more money to my various savings. I suppose I'll start off with some PS2 games I haven't played in some time and probably aren't going to play anytime soon.

Perhaps I'll also sell some computer stuff I have lying around or something. I don't know. I can't seem to let go of some things. I'll see, though.

Before anyone starts worrying, I'm not running out of money. In fact, I'm doing quite well for the moment. But, one can always use more money. I do have some car tires to buy in the not-to-distant future. Plus, other not-so-necessary things.

Dark Alliance...

It cost one pretty penny but I think it was worth it. I could have gotten it a little cheaper on eBay but then you have to factor in the shipping and handling fees most sellers charge. So, I think it was for the best.

I've been playing it quite a it lately and it is quite enjoyable. Of course, a long gaming session for me is around 2 hours at the most. I just can't stand sitting still for too long.

I probably should have waited on it as I still have several other PS2 games I have yet to finish. Who cares, I'm not going to make myself play a game. That is an abominable thought. So, on to playing some Baldur's Gate...

Thank the Mighty Shat...

My last night of work has arrived. I can't wait till I get off in the morning. I suppose I'll have to.

For now, I'm just transferring what collection of MP3s I have and my camera pictures over to my Macbook. Wakka wakka...

It's time for some internet..

I felt the need to post an entry in here, but I dont' really have anything to talk about. I suppose tonight is my next to last night before I'm off for my 'weekend' again.

Wakka wakka...

Stargate Atlantis...

As you may or may not know, I do enjoy me some Stargate Atlantis. Sadly, when Charter and the place I rent from came into some sort of disagreement, I lost all my 'expanded' channels. This, of course, included SciFi that Atlantis comes on. So, I've been without it for a while.

This has all changed now that I have access to the iTunes store, now that I use the latest version on my Macbook. I can now buy the episodes I've been missing for a small, $2, price. I think that price perfectly reasonable. Entertainment is paramount, after all.
