Mac video card flashing...
It wasn't that long ago that the Mac video card flashing scene was alive and buzzing with activity. Now, it seems dead. A popular forum for those working on such things has been down for some time and it doesn't look like it will ever come up.
I don't think they ever got any ATI card beyond the 9800 working. I think that had the Geforce 7800 working, though.
My B&W G3 is happily humming along with its 'ole Radeon 9200. The actual Mac Edition too. Woo woo. Good days.

Cellphone images...
Here goes some picture I took with my cellphone. Nothing exciting...

Backups...
For the first time ever, I'm actually keeping a backup of my Macbook. It's weird. If things were to suddenly go south, I would be covered. Mind you, I've never had a real problem with hard drives suddenly dying on me. Its good to be safe, though.
I'm glad that the external case I got wasn't that much more expensive than it would be online. It does suck that it doesn't have firewire, though. I would have much preferred that to USB.
Wakka, wakka...

Things...
Went down to Dothan with Bu to bebop around. Got a few thinga-ma-bobs: the Gunslinger graphic novel, a external hard drive enclosure, and a new phone. The hard drive works fine in the enclosure and I can connect my new phone and my Macbook via bluetooth. Fancy dancy...

Living room rearrangement...
I went ahead and used some of my savings to by myself a cheap but nice little pc cart/desk for my Macbook. I wan't to move it off of the big desk since it didn't need that much space.
This, of course, prompted a complete rearrangement of everything. I now have the server and the GamingPC on the big desk with my Macbook on the new desk next to 'em. I think that it is nicer this way. Plus, I've removed all of the cat-barriers. Sulu can go where he wants, except on the Macbook's desk.
P.S. I suppose I will have to call the law. I don't even know if that guy is even home. I'll have to take a walk up the street to pinpoint the source. What I would give to live out in the country.

Noise...
Yep, classes are back again. That doesn't mean much to me in itself, as I'm on a indefinite hiatus from college. It does mean one thing though: noise.
Stupid college kids like playing their music with absolutely no regard to anyone aside from themselves. Lowering the god-damn bass or even wearing some headphones are unknown things to them. I suppose fresh out of their parents house's basement they don't realize out here things are different. You don't get extra chores, you get extra visits from the police.
I've had to call the police before about the noise. That was about a year ago, though. I'm hoping that it doesnt' come to it again. I haven't had any trouble yet but I'm wondering if I will.
Wakka, wakka...

Cold...
I think that I may have caught a cold. I'm not sure, though. It may just be my allergies acting up or something. Colds usually hit me in the throat before moving into my nose. I haven't gotten a sore throat as of late. So, hmm.
I'm glad that I have some cold medacine stocked up since last time.

Creative lull...
I've been in a sort of pause of creativity for some time now. I haven't really... created anything in some time. This has been bothering me, as much as I'll let something, as of late.
I don't know. Some sort of hobby or something. I'll have to brainstorm on it in the coming weeks.

Kid Rock is an ass of the highest order...
I'll go ahead and tell you I DO NOT listen to Kid Rock intentionally. I listen to some internet, that internet, stations quite a bit. In fact, that are one of my primary sources of music.
Kid Rock comes on them every now and then, very unusual fortunately. The few songs I've heard from him are essentially him telling me, or any listener, how utterly fantastic a person he is. In fact, if I were to meet a version of him taken utterly from his songs, it would be some complete badass sourrounded by ho's. He would also be standing on diamond-crusted ground too. The World could not exist without this person either. He is apparently some badass GOD.
Seriously, Jesus Christ crap. There is seriously something wrong with someone that seems only capable of talking about how great they are.

Apple's App Store, a review...
You or may not have heard about the $999 app that was avaliable in the App Store called "I am Rich". I bet the creator of it is very much thinking this. Hell, 8 people actually bought this... thing. Just to help to put things into perspective, I don't believe the people that bought it should be able to get a refund. One of the things you should be paying attention to when buying something is the price.
The healthy abundance of avaliable freeware is one of the nice things about the App Store. In fact, I finally found a good to-do manager that is probably as close as I'm going to come to the Newton's one. It isn't the same thing but it is good enough. Free at that too.
